A revision wheel that stops the dithering
The hardest part of a revision session is often picking where to start. Put your exam subjects on the wheel, spin, and do 25 minutes on whatever it lands on. Then spin again.
Press Remove Winner from List after each spin and you will cover every subject once before any comes round again. If one subject needs more time, add it twice so it comes up more often.
In the classroom
- Quiz rounds: spin for the subject, then ask a question from it.
- Cross-curricular days: spin to decide which subject each group links to the theme.
- Primary topic work: spin to choose the subject focus for the afternoon.
- Careers lessons: spin a subject and talk about jobs that use it.
Make it match your timetable
The list uses common UK school subject names. Swap in your own: German instead of French, Biology, Chemistry and Physics instead of Science, or Social Studies if that is what your school calls it. For quiz categories that are not school subjects, try the category wheel.
Questions
Can I split Science into Biology, Chemistry and Physics?
Yes. Delete Science and add the three sciences as separate entries.
How do I stop a subject coming up twice?
Press Remove Winner from List after each spin. The subject comes off the wheel until you reset it.
Can students use it at home?
Yes. It works in any browser on a phone, tablet or laptop, with no account.
