How to pick a random name
- Replace the example names with your own. You can paste a whole list at once, one name per line.
- Spin the wheel. It slows down and lands on one name.
- Need more than one? Set the number of winners to 2 or 3 and the wheel ranks them first, second and third.
Picking without repeats
After each spin you can press Remove Winner from List. The name drops off the wheel, so the next spin only picks from the people who are left. That is how you run turns, a running order or a draw for several prizes.
Showing the result
Spin it on a shared screen or a video call so everyone sees it land. You can download the result as an image, record the spin as a video, or send a link that opens the same wheel for someone else.
Questions
How many names can I add?
As many as you like, though past about 100 the names get small on the wheel. For a big list, the result still shows clearly when it lands.
Is the pick really random?
Yes. Every name has an equal slice and the spin stops at a random point, so each name has the same chance.
Can I use it for a giveaway?
Yes. Paste the entrants, spin on screen or record the spin, and share the video so entrants can see the draw. For prizes, try the prize wheel.
